Hon. Tomas P. Manalo Retires from Public Service, Remains an MC Trustee

Honorable Tomas P. Manalo, one of the founding fathers of MC, retires from public service on June 30, 2010, after serving the people of Mabalacat for more than four decades. During his last term as a member of the Sangguniang Bayan, Tang Tom chaired the Committee on Education and served the college as an ex-officio member of the Board of Trustees (BOT). He is replaced by Hon. Froylan L. Galang.

However, in recognition of his untiring support to the College, the BOT elected Tang Tom during its June 22, 2010 special meeting. He now sits as trustee representing the prominent citizens of Mabalacat. “As to serving the people of Mabalacat, I am only semi-retired,” Tang Tom declared.

Tang Tom’s long political career spanned for four decades. He served as the Floor Leader of the Sangguniang Bayan of Mabalacat under the administrations of Mayor Wilfredo C. Halili (1972-1986), Mayor Catalino T. Domingo (1992-1995) and Mayor Marino P. Morales (1995-1998).

He also served as ex-officio member of Sangguniang Bayan of Mabalacat under the administrations Mayor Juan G. Santos (1986-1987) and as an elected member of Sangguniang Bayan under Mayor Wilfredo C. Halili (1988-1992).
