MC Board of Trustees Visits Taiwan for Academic and Architectural Benchmarking

Checking on the Taiwan rocks with geologist Dr. Telesforo Luna
The hardworking members of the Board of Trustees of Mabalacat College capped the year 2010 with a memorable academic and architectural benchmarking at Taipei, Taiwan. The BOT members, headed by Dr. Leonardo C. Canlas, visited major landmarks and universities in Taiwan on November 29, 2010 to December 3, 2010.

The purpose of the visit is to view academic campus landscapes and urban architecture and develop fresh ideas for infrastructural development of the College. Among others, the MC delegation visited the campus of the National Taiwan University (NTU) where they observed the facilities of the College of Science. Noteworthy is the mode of transportation of the students at the very spacious NTU campus – the bicycles – which is not only healthy for the students but also friendly to the environment.

The BOT returned with much to share about the dynamic, orderly and highly-developed Taipei they discovered.

MC delegation to Taipei, Taiwan include: Dr. Leonardo C. Canlas, Hon. Froylan L. Galang, Hon Tomas P. Manalo, Prof. Carmelita P. Sotto and Atty. Robert John I. Donesa. Also joining the delegation are two of our College officials: Dr. Eriberta T. Maglaqui and Dr. Jose V. Guintu.
